The desk problem

A large share of our Westlands caseload works in the office blocks along Waiyaki Way and around Sarit, and presents with the same pattern: a neck that stiffens by Wednesday, an upper back that aches, and a headache that arrives mid-afternoon.

It is rarely a serious injury. It is eight hours a day at a screen positioned slightly too low, with a commute at either end. Treatment settles the symptoms; changing the setup stops them returning. We do both, and we will ask about your desk before we ask about anything else.

Convenience matters more than people admit

Recovery depends on turning up consistently, and consistency dies when the journey is painful. Being based in Westlands means most patients here can reach us in minutes rather than crossing town. For everyone else in the area, or anyone who would rather not move after a bad flare, we come to you.

Westlands is two different places

The commercial core (Sarit, Westgate, Rhapta Road, Muthithi Road, Ojijo) is where the office caseload comes from, and where our lunchtime slots get used.

The residential side (Kyuna, Spring Valley, Brookside, Riverside and up Lower Kabete Road) is quieter, larger-plot, and more likely to want a home visit. Chiromo sits between the two, close to the hospital and the university.

Both are minutes from the clinic, which is the main reason Westlands patients get seen fastest.
