Frequently asked questions
About treatment with us
Do I need a doctor’s referral to see a physiotherapist in Kenya?
No. You can book directly with us. If we think you need imaging or a specialist opinion, we will tell you and help you arrange it.
How many sessions will I need?
Most straightforward problems need four to six sessions. We give an honest estimate after the first assessment, and we say so if we do not think physiotherapy is the right answer for you.
Do you do home visits across Nairobi?
Yes: Westlands, Karen, Parklands, Lavington, Kilimani, Ngong Road and Upper Hill as standard, and further by arrangement. We bring all equipment.
What should I wear?
Comfortable clothing you can move in, and something that gives access to the area being treated: shorts for a knee, a vest top for a shoulder.
Will treatment hurt?
Some hands-on techniques are briefly uncomfortable, but treatment should never be something you dread. Tell your physiotherapist what you are feeling and they will adjust.
How do I pay?
M-Pesa or card, after the session. We provide itemised receipts suitable for insurance claims.
Can I bring someone with me?
Yes, always. For children and for older patients we encourage it, since whoever helps at home needs to understand the plan too.
What if physiotherapy is not what I need?
We will say so and point you to the right professional. That happens often enough to be worth stating plainly.
