Conditions we treat

What the problem is, what usually causes it, how long recovery takes, and when you should see a doctor instead of us.

Lower Back Pain

The most common reason people come to us. Most lower back pain is mechanical, and most of it settles, with the right loading rather than rest.

Neck Pain

Usually a desk problem rather than an injury: stiffness, restricted turning, and headaches that arrive in the afternoon.

Knee Pain

From running-related knee pain to arthritis and post-surgical knees, the treatment depends entirely on which one you have.

Shoulder Pain

Rotator cuff and impingement problems that hurt when you reach overhead or sleep on that side, usually very treatable without surgery.

Sciatica

Pain travelling from the back down the leg. Alarming, usually not dangerous, and in most cases it settles without surgery.

Arthritis

Physiotherapy cannot reverse joint changes, but it reliably reduces pain and improves function, and often postpones surgery considerably.

Frozen Shoulder

Slow, painful and eventually self-limiting. Treatment manages pain and protects the range you have, anyone promising a quick fix is not being straight with you.

Stroke Recovery

Rehabilitation after stroke, usually delivered at home: because frequency over months is what drives recovery, and transport is what stops it.

Sports Injuries

Ankle sprains, hamstring strains, runner's knee and shoulder injuries, assessed properly and rehabilitated to the demands of your sport.

Recovery After an Operation

The first six weeks after an operation set a ceiling on your result, and they are exactly when getting to a clinic is hardest.
