Massage that is part of a treatment plan

Most massage in Nairobi is sold as a spa experience. That has its place, but it is a different thing from what we do. Our therapists work in the same practice as our physiotherapists and share notes, so a tight shoulder gets treated as a tight shoulder, and if the underlying cause is a rotator cuff problem rather than tension, you get told rather than rebooked.

What we offer

Deep tissue massage

Slower, firmer work through the deeper layers of muscle and fascia. Best for long-standing tightness, the lower back that has been “a bit off” for two years, or shoulders that have taken a decade at a desk.

Sports massage

Built around training. Pre-event work to prepare, post-event work to help you recover, and maintenance in between. Popular with runners training through the Ngong Hills and anyone in a weekly league.

Swedish and relaxation massage

Lighter, flowing technique for general tension and stress. Genuinely restorative, and often the right starting point if firm pressure is not something you enjoy.

Booking

Sessions run 30, 60 or 90 minutes at our Westlands clinic or at your home across Nairobi. Thirty minutes suits one focused area: neck and shoulders, or calves. Sixty is the standard full-body session. Ninety is for when several areas need proper attention and you do not want the therapist rushing.

Common questions

What is the difference between this and a spa massage?

A spa massage is designed to relax you. Ours is designed to change something: a restricted shoulder, a tight hamstring, a back that seizes every few weeks. Our therapists work in the same practice as our physiotherapists, so if massage is not the right tool, we say so.

Do you offer massage at home in Nairobi?

Yes. We bring a portable table and everything else needed. Home massage is popular in Westlands, Karen, Lavington and Kilimani.

Which massage should I book?

Deep tissue for persistent tightness, sports massage around training and events, Swedish if you mainly want to unwind. If you are unsure, book 60 minutes and tell the therapist what is bothering you: they will adjust.

Is deep tissue massage supposed to be painful?

Firm, yes. Painful, no. Real pain makes muscles guard, which works against the treatment. Speak up and the pressure gets adjusted.
