What we treat

  • Lower back and neck pain
  • Knee, hip and shoulder problems
  • Sports and training injuries
  • Recovery after surgery
  • Stroke and neurological rehabilitation
  • Arthritis and long-term joint pain

What happens in your first session

The first appointment is mostly listening and testing. We ask what hurts, when it started, what makes it worse, and what you need to get back to: whether that is lifting your child, sitting through a workday, or running again.

Then we assess properly: how the joint moves, which muscles are firing, where the pain actually originates. Referred pain is common, and the sore spot is often not the source. Knowing the difference is what stops you treating the wrong thing for months.

You leave the first session with a working diagnosis, hands-on treatment, and two or three specific exercises. Not a printed sheet of twenty.

How we treat

  • Manual therapy, joint mobilisation and soft-tissue work to restore movement
  • Exercise prescription, the part that makes the improvement stick
  • Dry needling: for stubborn trigger points, where appropriate
  • Education: what to stop doing, and for how long

Why people come to us

Nairobi traffic makes a 3pm appointment across town an hour of your day each way. We work around that: clinic sessions in Westlands for people who want the full setup, and home visits for everyone else. Recovery depends far more on doing the work consistently than on any single treatment, and consistency dies when getting there is a battle.

We also tell you when you do not need us. If four sessions have not moved the problem, something else is going on, and the honest answer is a referral rather than a tenth appointment.

Common questions

Do I need a doctor's referral to see a physiotherapist in Kenya?

No. You can book directly with us. If we think you need imaging or a specialist opinion, we will tell you and help you arrange it.

How many sessions will I need?

Most people with a straightforward problem need four to six sessions. We give you an honest estimate after the first assessment, and we say so if we do not think physiotherapy is the right answer for you.

Can you come to my home instead?

Yes. We cover Westlands, Karen, Parklands, Lavington, Kilimani, Ngong Road and Upper Hill, and travel further across Nairobi by arrangement.

Will physiotherapy hurt?

Some hands-on techniques are uncomfortable for a moment, but treatment should never be something you dread. Tell your physiotherapist what you are feeling and they will adjust.
