Runners
The Ngong Road forest routes are among the most used training grounds in Nairobi, and they produce a steady stream of the classic overuse injuries: runner’s knee, IT band pain, shin splints, Achilles trouble.
Nearly all of it comes down to load rather than damage: a mileage jump, a change of surface, new shoes, or a training block with no easy weeks in it. We assess the whole chain, because the painful structure is rarely the one causing the problem, and we build the rehabilitation around your race calendar rather than ignoring it.
The corridor
Ngong Road is long, and traffic along it is unpredictable, so home visits here are grouped by day where possible. Tell us your preferred days when you book and we will usually reach you sooner.
The corridor, end to end
Ngong Road is long, and where you are on it changes the journey substantially. Adams Arcade and Prestige Plaza are the closest end to town, with Jamhuri, Woodley and the Racecourse just off it. Dagoretti Corner and Riara sit further out, and Naivasha Road branches west.
The Ngong Forest side is where most of our running caseload trains. If you are booking a home visit, tell us which stretch you are on, the difference between Adams Arcade and Dagoretti Corner is a genuine twenty minutes in the wrong traffic.

Questions from Ngong Road patients
I run in Ngong Road Forest and my knee hurts. What is it?
Most commonly patellofemoral pain or an IT band problem: both are usually hip and load-management issues rather than knee problems, which is why treating the knee alone tends to fail. An assessment will tell us which you have.
Do you cover Adams Arcade and Dagoretti Corner?
Yes, the whole corridor. Travel time from the clinic varies with traffic, so we group appointments along Ngong Road where we can.
Can I train while being treated?
Almost always, in modified form. Complete rest weakens the tissue you need to load again: we would rather adjust your running than stop it.
