Physiotherapist on Ngong Road

Covering the Ngong Road corridor from Adams Arcade to Dagoretti Corner: running injuries especially, plus back pain and home visits.

Physiotherapy along the Ngong Road corridor, from Adams Arcade through to Dagoretti Corner.

Runners

The Ngong Road forest routes are among the most used training grounds in Nairobi, and they produce a steady stream of overuse injuries: runner’s knee, IT band pain, shin splints, Achilles problems.

Nearly all of it comes down to load rather than damage: a mileage jump, a change of surface, new shoes, or a training block with no easy weeks in it. We assess the whole chain, because the painful structure is rarely the one causing the problem.

Booking along the corridor

Ngong Road is long and the traffic on it is unpredictable, so home visits here are grouped by day where we can. Tell us your preferred days when booking and we will usually reach you sooner. Clinic appointments in Westlands are also available if you are heading that way regardless.

Common questions

Do you cover Adams Arcade and Dagoretti Corner?

Yes, the whole corridor. Travel time from our Westlands clinic varies with traffic, so we group appointments along Ngong Road where we can.

I run in Ngong Road Forest and my knee hurts. Can you help?

That is one of the most common things we see from this area: usually patellofemoral pain or an IT band problem, and usually driven by the hip rather than the knee. An assessment will identify which you have.

Will I have to stop running?

Almost never entirely. Complete rest weakens the tissue you need to load again. We would rather modify your training than end it, and if you have a race date, tell us and we will plan around it.
